Graphicient Announces Technology Partnership with Neo4j to Bring Trusted, Explainable AI to Industrial Environments

Graphicient’s Industrial Knowledge & Compliance Engine, built on Neo4j, helps aerospace, automotive, energy and manufacturing organizations structure engineering knowledge, govern AI systems and prepare for growing regulatory requirements.

October 7, 2026 Graphicient 4 min read

PARIS, France, 7 October 2026, Graphicient, the Industrial Knowledge & Compliance Engine, today announced a technology partnership with Neo4j, the world’s leading graph intelligence platform. By building on Neo4j, Graphicient helps industrial organizations in critical and complex environments turn fragmented engineering and operational data into governed, explainable knowledge that AI systems can rely on.

As industrial companies move AI from pilots into production, many hit the same wall. Critical knowledge is scattered across PLM, ERP, MES and IoT systems, and much of it lives only in engineers’ heads. At the same time, regulators, auditors and safety teams increasingly expect AI-driven decisions to be traceable and explainable, including under the EU AI Act. Models are deployed without the industrial context that makes their answers correct. In sectors where safety and reliability are non-negotiable, AI that cannot show its reasoning cannot be deployed.

The partnership addresses this gap. Neo4j provides the ontology and graph backbones of Graphicient’s platform. It connects industrial data sources, then models the dependencies, causal links and constraints between parts, software, processes, requirements and tests. Graphicient adds a trust, governance and certification layer on top: it captures business knowledge, verifies and validates AI outputs, and delivers continuous compliance monitoring designed to help organizations meet the requirements of the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001.

“Neo4j is pleased to partner with Graphicient, creating powerful solutions that unlock new possibilities and positive outcomes for customers. Together, we are building the industrial and manufacturing vertical for graph-powered AI,” said Simon Capel, RVP EMEA Channel & Alliances at Neo4j. “Our joint vertical offering brings graph technology to the heart of engineering, quality and supply chain operations, where complex dependencies and strict regulatory requirements demand AI that is explainable and traceable. Our growing Neo4j partner ecosystem demonstrates the power of graph technology to transform data into actionable knowledge, helping organizations build the knowledge layer for enterprise AI.”

Priority use cases

The companies are initially focusing on use cases where traceability matters most:

  • Quality and root-cause analysis: mapping defects, causes and dependencies so quality teams can trace non-conformities back to their origin, with fully auditable decisions.
  • Engineering knowledge and design compliance: connecting requirements, constraints and test results so engineering teams can verify designs against specifications.
  • Critical systems assurance: providing explainability and assurance cases for AI embedded in safety-critical systems.
  • Supply chain and operational risk: monitoring compliance and scoring risk across complex supplier networks and industrial operations.

In a nutshell: deployed in production at a major car manufacturer, Graphicient unlocks the full power of the engineering and manufacturing BoMs, enhancing xBoM synergies to cut investigation time by a factor of 10, and up to 60 in the most complex cases. At the same time, it breaks down silos between engineering, manufacturing, procurement and supply chain, providing a complete, trusted and explainable platform for ordering parts and components, and enabling significant cost reductions.

“Industrial companies don’t lack data, and they don’t lack context about their tables. They lack connected, trustworthy knowledge about their products, the kind AI can reason on and auditors can verify,” said François Bensid, CEO & Co-Founder of Graphicient. “By putting Neo4j at the core of our Industrial Knowledge & Compliance Engine, we give industrial organizations an explainable and compliant foundation for AI, one that keeps them in control of their data and their decisions in the most demanding environments.”
